The main goal of the Vincent Pallottà Cultural Center project, which was established in 2016, is to improve access to pre-school education in the Kibe area.1 The overall goal is achieved by facilitating the access of educators to children from the poorest families who would otherwise beg on the street the parent (s) look for work as a healer. Many children are from the Pygmies tribe, who are generally worse off than the rest of society. We choose children to the center in collaboration with a local partner and on the basis of personal visits to their families and communities. The center originally had a capacity of 45 children between the ages of four and six. In December 2017, we started with the slogan partner with the construction of a new center building with double capacity. It was put into operation in April 2019. In addition to pre-school preparation in the morning, it also carries out afternoon activities for schoolchildren.
