Providing technical assistance to Serbia was one of the conclusions from the Protocol of the 5th meeting of the Joint Commission between the Slovak Republic and the Republic of Serbia for Economic Cooperation held from 10 through 11 June, 2013. Protocol states: "The parties expressed mutual interest that the Slovak party provide technical support to undertake amendments to the Law on Energy in terms of implementation of the EU directives, third energy package and the regulation of the energy sector.
