Description

Overall project objective

To enhance civic groups so they can play a key role in the support of civil sector on the way to democratization of Burma.

Purpose of the project

1. To increase technical capacity of civic organizations in Burma with the aim of providing their activities and aims as important actors within civic sector in Burma.

2. To increase knowledge and skills of civic groups in Burma by means of a set of trainings and thus to contribute to social and democratic transition of the country.

Project results

Result 1.1. Providing financial support by means of micro-grants for 5 civic initiatives and groups, and following training on technical and organizational capacities (project management, strategic planning, financial management, fundraising)

Result 2.1.: Creation of training plan for 2013 and preparation and organization of a set of trainings for 60 selected representatives of civil groups in Burma, focused on civic education, transition processes and advocacy activities.
