The project focuses on higher education to improve the professional capacities of its staff. Through fieldwork placements and vocational training materials academics will obtain new theoretical and practical knowledge in development education. At the same time the project conveys a better quality education to students through lectures of foreign experts. The overall objective of the project is to raise awareness and understanding among young people in partner countries on poverty and the Millennium Development Goals in order to stimulate discussion and action to promote fairer trade relations between the global North and the global South. The project also increases the expertise of academics.
