Description
The project aims to develop a business plan for import of high-quality green coffee from coffee growers in the Guji zone, Ethiopia. For this purpose, the project activities will focus on collecting data and information needed to determine the terms of a future business agreement with the Ethiopian partner, conditions for the export of green coffee from Ethiopia to Slovakia, expected quality level and certification of the exported coffee. Emphasis will be placed on organic cultivation and ethical certification of coffee farms in the area of fair trade. At the same time, the business potential of the premium certified coffee from Ethiopia will be analyzed for Slovak and European markets and thus linking Ethiopian coffee producers from Guji Zone to the European value chains. The business plan will define the possibilities of business cooperation with an Ethiopian partner in the export of premium green coffee in organic quality and with ethical certification. It also analyses the market potential of premium coffee for the Slovak and European markets and determines various processing options for green coffee before delivering to the distribution networks. In addition, it defines the risks associated with the import and sale of premium coffee, establishes an indicative price level, specifies distribution networks and the management of potential risks.
