Description

On September 29 - October 4, 2019, a 4-member delegation from Serbia visited Slovakia. The primary objective of the study visit was to increase the expertise and reinforce the capacity of the Serbian Ministry of Environmental Protection in the field of climate change, but also to exchange experiences and examples of best practice in mitigation and adaptation (meeting EU commitments, Paris Agreement commitments, UNFCCC commitments and related reporting obligations). The participants of the visit were acquainted with the setting of the Slovak legislative framework in this area. The study visit also created conditions for establishing longer-term cooperation of the Slovak Ministry of Environment with Serbia, as well as with the Western Balkans region.
