In preparation for implementing obligations under the Association Agreement and the deepening of the FTA with the EU as one of the major weaknesses has been identified unsatisfactory state of communication with the public. The attention was given to communication with the Moldovan government and partners in the international community.

Moldovan side asked for expertise in European affairs. Following the letter from Slovak Minister of Foreign Affairs Miroslav Lajcak (letter from the Minister no. 432452 / 2013-3TEO of 30.10.2013) Moldovan Government kindly asked Slovakia to provide expertise in communication and counseling in European affairs. The Embassy Chisinau, after consultation with the Moldovan officials, submitted a proposal to involve Ambassador Peter Michalka in consultation with representatives of the Moldovan government, parliament, political parties, local government and civil society in close cooperation with the Embassy Chisinau through four short visits to Moldova.
