Description
Project addresses main problems in BiH energy sector, putting focus on Renewal Energy Sources and upgrading the framework for and quality of supply monitoring in BiH. Project will review BiH practices in quality monitoring based on Slovak experience and assist stakeholders in these activities through elaboration of Methodology Plan and on-the-job training. It will review the current situation in BiH in the field of license conditions, market rules and operational practices with a view to identify possible barriers for investment in RES, support BiH authorities in its activities on mitigation of barriers for investment in RES and assist them through staff training to improve its background, knowledge and competencies concerning RES. In addition, project will review current responsibilities, organization and functions systems of BiH authorities and prepare a Management plan/s for identifying any recommended changes in functional structures, skill needs and other resource requirements and embedding procedures for annual updating of the plan. Project will strengthening human resources capacity to meet challenges in RES sector and establish effective, long-term cooperation between key players from Slovakia and BiH for future common efforts in the sector including any investments (Slovak-Bosnian Energy Network). A comprehensive monitoring plan including quality management system is the ground for measuring impact and quality of planned results. Sustainability Action Plan will pave the path to use of achieved results and their further development. Thus, the project will contribute to the capacity building for Renewal Energy Sources of BiH authorities through tailor-made transfer of Slovak experience.
