The project "Strengthening good governance by promoting transparency, digitisation and social inclusion in southern Moldova" aims to contribute to the sustainable development and democratization of the Republic of Moldova. The project will be implemented in the south of Moldova. The project builds on the successful results of past interventions of project partners and will contribute to the fulfilment of the European and Slovak strategic goals. The main goal of the project is to support good governance in the south of Moldova by strengthening transparency and informatization of local governments and the involvement of civil society in the field of social inclusion. The first result will be a more efficient provision of services to citizens thanks to one newly established and the support of four already functioning client centers. Thanks to technical support and training, two municipalities will be ready to use more transparent IT tools for good governance, namely electronic voting system and a new communication system. The second result will ensure more efficient provision of social services. Capacity building to improve cooperation between municipalities and civil society in the provision of services, financial support for local initiatives and the implementation of the Participatory Planning Program for Social Inclusion Services will help more than 400 vulnerable citizens (including women, children, disadvantaged people). The project will ensure the transfer of Slovak reform experience through training and consultations of Slovak experts in Moldova. The project does not pose any risk to the environment, but represents an opportunity for improvement (category B).
